The Mayor’s Office of Immigrant and Multicultural Affairs (MIMA) and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) are working on a project to make Baltimore more welcoming for immigrants. With this purpose, we are recruiting Asian immigrants who live or work in Baltimore City to participate in a focus group. The group will discuss the advantages and challenges for Asian immigrants in the city and how the local government has or could potentially intervene in those factors. The focus group will happen on Wednesday, September 20, 6:00–7:30pm in the Southeast Anchor branch of the Enoch Pratt Library. Each participant will receive a compensation of $40. If you would like to participate, please contact Dr. Felipe Filomeno through e-mail (filomeno@umbc.edu) or telephone (410-300-7034). We appreciate your opinion and look forward to hearing from you. Thank you!
