Pre-Pharmacy Society

A.T. Still University's Occupational Therapy Department would like to remind all Pre-OT students about the upcoming OTCAS deadline of April 1, 2022. We do, however, encourage the expedition of their application due to the rolling admissions process.

 

To apply, they must utilize OTCAS by clicking here.

 

In addition, the department is holding 2 virtual information sessions for those students that would like to learn more about either program: the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) and the Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD). Information and registration for these events are found here: February 11 and March 11.

Welcome back to campus! I hope you guys had a great break:) We are planning to have more meetings this semester but before we do so we need to know how everyone's schedule is like this semester. We will schedule group meetings based on which days you are available so please fill out the when2meet link attached to this post. All you have to do is fill out your name and drag/ click the times you are free during the week. 

I have lots of information to discuss with you guys and I can't wait to see you guys! 

We have internship/ job opportunities to discuss, guest speaker from a Physical Therapy Clinic, more information about PTcas, Letter of recommendation, shadowing hours, and group interviews/ individual interviews. 

When I receive peoples free times on the when2meet link, i'll post the date of the first meeting during the spring semester. 

The UMBC Paramedic Program is a great opportunity for Pre-Med and Allied Health Pre-Professional students to gain experience and patient contacts while still working towards their degree!

As the semester is coming to a close we have just 2 meetings left! Next GBM will be held Friday November 12, 2021 at 12pm via webex. We will be discussing the life of a Pharmacy Technician, as well as what classes to take to prepare you for pharmacy school! We hope to see you all there, the webex link will be below including the password.

A little update on our Mentorship program which will be in effect from now on into second semester. Each E-Board member has been assigned mentee's and should have either reached out to you already, or will be reaching out to you soon! We still have room left for other mentees so if you're interested please fill out the form that will also be linked below and we will assign you an E board mentor! Lastly, within the Mentorship program we are looking for future E-board members in which you will have the opportunity to shadow the position you're interested in! If being a part of UMBC Pre-Pharmacy Society E-board is something you would like to do, signing up for the mentorship program would be amazing!
