We have an exciting opportunity coming up! The Homecoming Retriever Dawg Race is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th, from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM, and we're looking for volunteers from the Pre-Pharmacy Society to help out.

Retriever 5K Dawg Race and Family Fun Run
UMBC is looking for volunteers for the Homecoming Retriever 5K Dawg Race and Family Fun Run! Volunteers get FREE carnival entry and game tickets!
No running is required, and costumes are encouraged!

Event Details:
Date: Saturday, October 26th, 2024
Time: 7:30am - 10:00am
Eligibility: Open to students, student orgs, faculty, and staff
Role: Race Course Guide/Post Race volunteer
Responsibilities: Direct runners along the race course, ensuring they stay on the correct path. Provide encouragement and guidance to participants. Monitor for any safety hazards or issues along the course. Assist with post-race activities including gear check re-distribution, clean up, and Medal distribution.
Skills:
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to follow directions and work independently.
Physical fitness to stand for extended periods and walk or run portions of the course.

9/23/24 GBM - What is Physical Therapy?
Hello everyone!
Our next GBM is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23rd, at 12pm in SOND 112. We will be going over what the field of physical therapy is, specialties in the field (such as Women's Health, neurological PT, and pediatrics), pros and cons of being a PTA vs. PT, and the education required to become a licensed PT.
