Casting Call for Campus Movie Fest Film
posted over 11 years ago
Hey everyone!
My name is Kosta Viennas, and I am sure many of you have seen the awesome people from Campus Movie Fest around UMBC these past few days. The week long event starts tomorrow, and I am putting out a casting call for my film idea.
The name of my film is "The Generic Key: Prologue". Earlier this semester I made a short narrative piece called "The Generic Key" for my film class. It's been pretty well received, so I want to make a 'prequel' for CMF. Here is a link to the first film so you can get an idea for the look and feel of what it'll be like for this one.
I am still in need of 1 actor and 1 actress for this film. Here are their character descriptions:
Andrew: Andrew is one of the software engineers that helped create the Generic Key. He has a fairly aggressive personality and believes that the Generic Key should be used on a massive scale; to control cities, or even entire countries. He ignores the moral implications of such a device. For anyone looking to try out for this role, it would be a bonus if you could do a passable German accent, but it is not required.
Lara: Lara is one of the software engineers that helped create the Generic Key. She is very strong-willed and believes that the Generic Key should be put in the hands of someone responsible; someone that will consider the moral implications with each decision made with the Generic Key. She wants the device to be used in smaller scale operations. She looks at it as a means to minimize or eliminate potential casualties during a war.
I want to hold auditions for these characters on Friday (4/26) from 4:30pm-6:00pm and Saturday (4/27) from 2pm-4pm. The auditions will be held in the Fine Arts screening room (FA 221). I will be filming on either Monday (4/29) or Tuesday (4/30). Times for filming will be determined when the roles have be cast. Please email me at viennas1@umbc.edu if you are interested in trying out. I hope to hear from some of you very soon! Thanks for your time!
