Think domestic violence is someone else's issue and not yours? Wrong!  Our mothers, sisters, and daughters are victims of it. Even YOU can become a victim. Statistics prove that the chances are disproportionately high that you or someone you know will be or has been a victim of domestic violence. If you learn the signs, you can help.

In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness month, The Women's Center of UMBC is sponsoring "The Clothesline Project". 

What is "The Clothesline Project"?

"The Clothesline Project" is a visual display that bears witness to the

violence against women. During the public display, a clothesline is hung

with shirts. Each shirt is decorated to represent a particular woman's

experience, by the survivor herself or by someone who cares about her.

Come to The Women's Center for a free hot cup of tea or coffee and check out this powerful display of emotion provided by real women and men--many from the UMBC community--who have survived domestic violence or knows someone who has. You don't want to miss this. Please note the details below:
