Welcome to Fall 21 BioCOM
Good Morning Everyone,
Welcome to Fall 2021 BioCOM! Whether you are a new or returning member, we are excited to have a great semester with you all. Our board and members are composed of talented individuals who want to help you succeed in your educational journey as Biological Sciences majors.
Our first General Body Meeting will be held tomorrow, September 13, from 12-1. We will go over introductory material about the club and its members, along with a schedule of events and activities. We will also share some information about the BioEthics Panel and send out a questionnaire.

- Daniel Barnett, MD, MPH, associate professor: Dr. Barnett works at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research interests include "best practice models to enhance all-hazards public health emergency readiness and response".
- Peter Emanuel, PhD: Dr. Emanuel is the Senior Research Scientist for Bioengineering in the Chemical Biological Center. Dr. Emanuel advises US. Army leadership on developments in synthetic biology and bioengineering and how they can be exploited to boost national defense

Below, you will find information about who is presenting at our Bioethics Panel, which is about bioterrorism, this Friday:

Next meeting: Our next meeting is next Monday (26th). We will be holding elections that meeting. So far, only one person has submitted the BioCOM Elections form to run for a position, so please do so if you'd like to do the same!
