Howard County Public School System Career Corner
Educate. Inspire. Make an Impact
Tuesday, February 24, 2026 · 10 AM - 2 PM
Interested in turning your interest in education into a real-world career? This Career Corner offers a chance to connect directly with an employer looking to meet students who want to work in schools and support student success. From teaching in the classroom to guiding students beyond it, explore how your academic path can open doors to impactful roles in education.
We invite education majors and students in related fields who are interested in teaching and student-focused careers to join us at this Career Corner. As an educational employer, we are excited to connect with students who are working toward a Bachelor’s degree, which is required for most teaching and education-related roles.
During this session, we will share insights into career pathways in education, qualifications, and real-world experiences within school settings. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about classroom responsibilities, student support roles, and what it’s like to work in today’s dynamic educational environments.
We would love to connect with students interested in teaching
- Elementary Education
- Science Education
- Mathematics Education
- Special Education
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
- School Counseling and other student support roles
- Additional education-related career pathways
Whether you are early in your academic journey or approaching graduation, we look forward to engaging with you, learning more about your goals, and discussing how you can pursue a meaningful and rewarding career in education within school communities.
