- Current First-Year Students and Sophomores
- GPA: 3.0 or above
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
- Majors of Interest: IT, computer science, data science, cybersecurity, engineering, chemistry, biochemistry, biology
TRANSPORTATION:
FREE BUS TRANSPORTATION included with your Handshake registration- limited seating available. You will receive confirmation of your registration prior to the trip date. Spots fill quickly, so register early!
If you do not attend and have not cancelled your reservation 48 hours prior to the event date, your student account will be charged $25 to cover expenses incurred by the Career Center.

12:15pm - Depart from UMBC campus
1:00pm - Arrive at AstraZeneca
1:15pm - 2:00pm – Alumni Panel
2:00pm – 4:00pm – Tour of Clinical Manufacturing Facility
4:00pm - Depart from AstraZeneca
5:00pm - Arrive back at UMBC campus
Please note: The visit includes a tour of sterile manufacturing areas. Participants will be required to observe industry-standard dress code (closed-toed shoes and no makeup, nail polish or artificial nails) and wear facility-provided gowning (including scrubs, hairnets, and safety glasses). Further details will be provided ahead of the event.
