University of Maryland Baltimore County has a relationship with The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars through which students in all majors are able to spend a semester working, studying, and living in the nation's capital. Internship opportunities are available in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, and TWC ensures that you'll have substantive responsibilities that will prepare you for future employment. You get credit from UMBC for your work, which includes a nearly full-time internship experience, an academic course and more. If you think you might be interested, it’s something to consider now for the spring or summer of 2014.
