  <Title>Paid Product Development Intern Needed at Medifast</Title>

    <div class="html-content"><strong>Medifast </strong>(<a href="https://www.medifast1.com/" rel="nofollow external" class="bo">https://www.medifast1.com/)</a> in Owings Mills is looking for a 
    part-time intern this spring semester.  The intern would work <span>10-15 hours/ week
    this semester and throughout the summer months</span>.  This is a paid position that pays $12 per hour. <br>

    Responsibilities:</strong><br>
    <br>
    •Weighing up &amp; prepare PD lab batches for new development, and trouble-shooting production batch challenges.<br>
    •Obtain samples from warehouse for PD lab.<br>
    •Prepare samples for home use testing of new products requiring cooking (bakery mixes, etc.).<br>
    •Help Conduct Sensory Panels for internal evaluation<br>
    •Capture and provide analysis of data results (Excel).<br>
    •Maintain ingredient/finished product documentation database including 
    calling vendors, electronic and hard copy filing, inputting data into 
    spreadsheets as required.<br>
    •Assist with Production Trials, scale-ups, process improvement tests.<br>
    •Assist in preparing samples for evaluating alternate supplier ingredients and finished products.<br>
    •General Lab: Assist in Product Development lab organization and clean-up.<br>

    Requirements:</strong><br>
    •Strong attention to detail and follow-up<br>
    •Strong interest in food Research &amp; Development<br>
    •Ability to work effectively independently, and as a member of a team.<br>
    •Problem solving and excellent communication skills<br>
    •Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple task<br>
    •Basic knowledge of chemistry, biology, physics, statistics with additional course-work in nutrition or food science a plus.<br></div>
