The Career Connector Recognition nomination is an opportunity for you to express your appreciation to a faculty or staff member that has gone above and beyond in their role and has devoted extra time and energy to helping you with your career goals and plans, employment, and/or graduate school preparation. 

Examples include:
  • Incorporate career content into courses and programs
  • Have career related assignments in class such as resume and cover letters
  • Invite University Career Center staff, alumni, or employers into the classroom to speak about career-related topics
  • Encourage participation in career related activities such as career fairs, information sessions, and networking events, and experiential learning activities (e.g., internships, research, study abroad, service, professional conferences)
  • Serve as a reference and/or writing letters of recommendation
