Utsav Shashvatt won 1st place in the 3 Minute Thesis competition at GEARS and will be traveling to the regional competition later this year.

3MT celebrates the exciting research conducted by PhD students. Developed by The University of Queensland, the exercise cultivates students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills. The competition supports their capacity to effectively explain their research in three minutes, in a language appropriate to a non-specialist audience.

Finzi Memorial Student Summer Fellowship by the Lupus Foundation of America on Tuesday, September 11! She received this fellowship for her research in antimalarial drugs in the treatment of lupus, and was one of only six recipients. She is mentored by Dr. Gregory Szeto.
