The Department of Chemical, Biochemical, and Environmental Engineering (CBEE) at the  University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) seeks to fill an open-rank, tenure/tenure track position in the broad field of human health, including areas involving: synthetic biology,  systems biology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, development and production of novel  engineered biologics, environmental informatics, environmental microbiology, and  environmental health science and engineering. We are especially interested in applicants who  will conduct interdisciplinary research which will complement the current expertise in our  department and college. Industrial experience is welcome.
