In conjunction with the High Zero festival of experimental improvised music, the Department of Music presents a workshop by Chicago based cellist, composer, and educator Tomeka Reid, who is equally adept in classical, jazz experimental, and improvised music. She composes for a wide range of instrumentation, combining her love for groove with freer concepts.
The workshop is open to the public, and admission is free.
