UMBC CKI will be working on a semester-long service project with an organization called The Jared Box Project. This organization compiles and delivers boxes filled with small gifts, toys, games, and fun activities to hospitals nationwide, where they are given to young patients in emergency rooms, patient rooms, surgical centers, and clinics as they receive chemotherapy and other medical treatments.
Suggested donations include:
- Travel-sized board games
- Kids crafts
- Art supplies
- Puzzles
- Electronic games
- Silly putty
- Dress-up costume jewelry
- Toddler-safe toys
- Play-Doh
- Coloring Books
- Small stuffed animals
- Card games
- Word searches/sudoku
We will be collecting from now until our next General Body Meeting on April 12th.
Items can be dropped off to Victoria Herr (contact for time to meet at vherr1@umbc.edu), or brought to the next General Body Meeting.
