Deep work is the act of focusing on something without interruption for long periods of time. It pushes you to your limits, but it is rewarding, as it can help you learn or achieve new things in a ‘deep’ and lasting way. It's important for STEM students so that you can learn new material (and skills) quickly and efficiently, but it will also apply to your future careers, no matter what you pursue.
Your Student Success Coach Emma Barnaby is back on YouTube with a recap of Deep Work by Cal Newport this week. Check us out and make sure to subscribe to our channel!
Tomorrow (Wednesday, January 22), we will be hosting a CNMS Advising Town Hall from 12-1 in WebEx to answer any questions you and your families might have about the upcoming semester regarding your schedules and any success strategies you're looking to implement. You can access the meeting by clicking this link, but don't worry, we'll remind you again tomorrow!
