Fall 2019 Registration: Advising Appointment Information
Current Students:
Students must meet with an advisor in order to obtain registration clearance for the upcoming fall semester.
Engineering (chemical, computer, mechanical) and Computer Science majors and Pre-majors, please visit the advising website for instructions on how to sign up for your advising appointment.
Information Systems and Business Technology Administration majors (or students intending to change to one of these majors) are advised in the Information Systems Department. Please go here for more information.
If you are changing your major to a major outside the College of Engineering and Information Technology, please contact the respective department of your new major for advising appointment instructions. Please remember to complete a Declaration of Major form for your new major.
Summer Classes:
Summer registration is currently open. Students do not need to meet with an advisor prior to registering for summer courses unless you have questions or concerns. The majority of summer courses at UMBC do not require permission to enroll. If the course requires department consent, please contact an advisor. If you intend to take a course off-campus during the summer, a Verification of Transferability Form is required in advance of taking the summer course.New Students Admitted for Fall Semester:
Newly admitted students for the fall may not register for courses until Summer Orientation. Please sign up for Orientation here. If you have been admitted for the fall semester, but wish to take summer classes at UMBC, please contact Admissions.
