Students who were enrolled at UMBC in Spring 2020 and passed their Gateway in Spring 2020 or Summer 2020 should confirm that their major has been updated from "Pre" major to full major in their MyUMBC account.
In order to confirm that your major has been updated please log onto MyUMBC. Select "Profile" on the heading and then check to see the major listed under your name.
The listed major should be CENG, CMPE, CMSC, or MENG. If the first letter is a P (as in PMEE) your major has not been updated.
If you are not sure of the gateway requirements for your major please consult the requirements here as well as any exceptions for Spring 2020 here.
If you think you passed the gateway in Spring 2020
or Summer 2020 but your major has not been updated please email Emily
Stephens at eastephe@umbc.edu.
If you started UMBC in Summer 2020 or Fall 2020 your major will not be updated until Spring 2021.
