Moving forward, we plan to give you guys more COM-related things, like the shirts you got last year, and thought it’d be fun to let you all submit your own designs. There’s no theme or medium you really need to adhere to, so long as you keep your designs simple, but creative. For instance, if you decide to draw on paper with pen, we can recreate what you drew digitally, so it can be printed properly.

Keep an open mind when you’re thinking about what to make. It can be anything you want to see other club members wearing, using, etc.

All designs are due by January 28th. We accept submissions via:

• Discord: posting in #art

• Email: com.umbc@gmail.com or etsa1@umbc.edu

• Real life: give your design to a board member in-person

• Imgur: give us the link to your design

Things to consider while you’re creating your design:

• Work at a high resolution.

• Keep the number of colors you use minimal. Some printing services charge more for designs with a lot of different colors.

• There’s no requirement for the dimensions of the canvas you’re working on. However, keep in mind what your design would look like on a shirt or cup.

Despite the fact that this project is called COM Graphic Design Contest, it’s not a competition; this is more of a collaboration, because we could potentially use multiple submissions at once.
