Art Week Committee Search

We are looking for students who are interested in becoming a part of the Art Week 2012 Committee! Below are short descriptions of what positions are open.
DEADLINE TO APPLY IS OCTOBER 24TH. EMAIL ME AT KHEATER1@UMBC.EDU WITH A RESUME AND COVER LETTER.
o Chairs // There will be two chairs of the Art week 2012 committee. One chair will be tasked with overseeing the visual arts aspect, and one will be tasked with overseeing the performing arts aspect. These students must be currently declared as a major in the appropriate field, and must intend to complete that degree.
The Chairs will oversee the committee members, be present at and run each meeting, keep track of paperwork and timelines, be the first line of contact for student groups and departments interested in participating in events, and record all notes and procedures to pass along to future committees. The chairs will have final say over all decisions with approval from the advisors. Each of these chairs will be required to work between 5 - 10 hours a week, and will be awarded a stipend as well as 3 internship credits.
o Assistant Chairs // There will be two Assistant Chairs, one for visual arts and one for performing arts. These individuals will assist the chairs, they will manage projects and paperwork, they will help facilitate the meetings, and they will serve as a resource to the committee. These individuals will be required to work between 5 – 10 hours a week and will be awarded 3 internship credits.
o Committee Members // There will be between 10 – 15 committee members from all disciplines. These committee members will be encouraged to help create, facilitate, and curate Art Week 2012. They will be encouraged to come to all of the meetings and events. Committee members will receive free printing for their Art Week gallery submissions, as well as experience and involvement with The Commons Arts Program.
