Hopefully you’ve checked out the Baltimore Book Thing before, but if you haven’t, you really should! Basically, it’s a huge space where you can both donate books you’re finished with them and take any books from the space that you like for free! There’s always something interesting, the books are organized by subject matter, and it’s definitely a project that you should help support! Visit their website for more information and to learn how to get involved. Their hours for browsing are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.

They have lots of great events throughout the semester promoting Graphic Design, Animation, Illustration, etc. There are workshops, portfolio reviews, screenings and lots of other fun stuff. Their tumblr is a great way to keep up to date with everything going on!

Usually you have to pay to join AIGA, but is free to join the student group. They’ll also help you become a professional member if you’d like to (about $50). It’s definitely worth it as you get access to their job listings, professional portfolio fair, and you get your own online portfolio.

Did I mention that 2 of our employees, Mayen and Michelle, are the Secretary and Vice President? Pretty Rockin.

Visit the largest indoor antique show in the nation on Sept 2nd through the 5th! You will come across artful finds from all over the world right in our Baltimore area. Admission is $12 located in the Baltimore Convention Center. Take a friend with you and explore all the different pieces of art from all over the globe.
