This is a lecture series created as part of the senior capstone in applied linguistics for Spring 2025 (LING 490) and it is sponsored by a Pedagogy and Teaching Award (PAT) that David Beard received from CAHSS. More talks coming soon :)
Dr. Kaitlyn Wilson will be joining us virtually from Towson University to present on "Neurodiversity, Autism, and You"
Dr. Kaitlyn Wilson is an Associate Professor and Department Chairperson in the Department of Speech Language Pathology and serves as the Douglas F. '80 and Therese J. Erdman Term Professor in Autism Studies at Towson University. She earned her PhD in Speech & Hearing Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University/Krieger Institute. Her areas of expertise include autism (language, social interaction, self-advocacy, transition/lifespan, school- and community-based programs), language development (typical and atypical), and professional training practices.
