About This Group

The goal of CURL P.W.R is to create a place that welcomes the discussion of, and seeks a solution for, social issues faced by Women of Color in our UMBC community, specifically African American/African/Black women. This will happen through events that inform, excite, and connect individuals, so that these women know that they are important members of our community and others are informed about how to be allies to their peers. What connects us women of color? Our hair. It’s not just Girl Power, Its Curl PWR.
