Dependable Strengths Workshop: Networking and Job Search

2 day workshop + one follow-up appointment
Friday and Saturday, June 11-12 - Register NOW!

Need answers to the big questions about where you are headed next?
Not sure what kind of job you are interested in or how to find it?
Are you graduating this year and lack the know-how or confidence to network?

This two day workshop helps you to do all of these! Unlike other career assessments and workshops, you'll be able to assess your strengths and identify what you enjoy, things that you do well and events or experiences in which you take pride. It motivates you to succeed. Ultimately by learning more about yourself through this process, you open up new opportunities.
The focus in this workshop is a non-traditional job search process. Through guided group discussions, participants will:

          * Identify what you are good at and what you love to do
          * Learn to articulate your worth to an employer
          * Learn to make contacts whenever you may want them
          * Succeed in interviews
          * Work with a support team to increase self-confidence

The workshop is designed for all levels from freshmen to graduate students and alumni.
The registration fee for current UMBC Students is $50. Details and the online registration form can be found at

Paid Sales & Marketing Internships Available...

Full Title: Paid Sales & Marketing Internships Available w/University Directories

University Directories is hiring motivated students to participate in their nationally recognized sales and marketing internship program this summer. It is a paid position throughout the summer. We have positions at UMBC as well as locations throughout 44 of 50 states (you can check our website for a complete list - www.universitydirectories.com/internships.html).

There are three main things to know about the internship:
        1) Nationally Recognized week long expense-paid training in May in Chapel Hill, NC to provide a solid foundation for your summer.
        2) It is a paid internship.
        3) It's not a desk job - you're going to be working face to face with local business owners to talk to them about advertising in the publication that we print at your school.

Our internship is a fast-paced sales and marketing program designed to give students experience in analyzing how local businesses operate and how they try to target their advertising to reach the campus, more specifically, YOU as a college student.

        Interviews
If you are interested in the opportunity, you can email me back your resume to staylor@vilcom.com and we can set up a time to talk further about the internship! I will be conducting 30 minute phone interviews this week and have limited availability left, so please email me with your resume if you are interested as spots are filled on a first come first serve basis based on eligibility.
