UMBC DAU @ The Career Fair
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be offering a Relaxation Space at the Career Fair next Wednesday (September 21) from 11:30am-3:30pm!
The Disability Advocate Union welcomes you to the Relaxation Space on the track level of the RAC! Stop by for a reaffirming chat with a club member, light refreshments, or for a quiet moment to yourself.
Career Fair Success Tips & Tricks:
1) Expect it to be noisy and crowded! Noise-cancelling headphones are recommended. If an employer doesn’t like them, you don’t want to work there!
2) There won’t be seating on the main level, so plan breaks accordingly in the Relaxation Space or outside.
3) If standing in line isn’t an option for you, pre-fill out employer’s interest forms - available online at the Career Center myUMBC page, or via QR code the day of.
4) Wear comfortable shoes and clothing. You want to look nice, but you don’t want to get overstimulated. Try to balance both!
