Inclusive Excellence in Action Series - Centering Our Humanity
Leveraging Inclusive Excellence in Anti-DEI Times
Inclusive Excellence in Action is a dynamic series highlighting key equity, inclusion, and social justice areas, practices, and behaviors at UMBC. These sessions aim to provide an opportunity to learn from on campus experts in the Division of Institutional Equity (the Office of Equity and Civil Rights, Accessibility and Disability Services, the Women's Center, and the Center for Social Justice Dialogues) as well as campus partners, and off-campus experts.
Each session will offer practical insights into the work in these areas, share valuable resources, and equip participants with actionable skills and behaviors to foster inclusivity in their personal and professional lives. This engaging series will inspire and empower our community to implement inclusive excellence daily.
Dates: March 3 and April 14
This session, titled Centering Our Humanity: Leveraging Inclusive Excellence in Anti-DEI Times will be facilitated by Dr. Jasmine Lee, Vice President for Community and Culture in the Division of Institutional Equity and Dr. Alex C. Lange, Assistant Professor at Colorado State University.
