This spring semester the statewide Aspiring Educator theme is caring for our mental health. The past two years have not been easy for anyone, that's why MSEA Aspiring Educator events this semester are aimed at helping pre-service teachers now and advocating for class sizes that will be manageable from our very first classroom.
Below are the scheduled upcoming events; events are open to any pre-service teacher (MSEA member or not).

About the event:
- Join the edTPA roundtable discussion with newer teachers who passed the Maryland edTPA! This is right for you if you’re an aspiring educator working your way through your preparation program or if you’re a conditional teacher getting ready for the certification changes in July. Think community, conversation, and support!
About the event:
- Letter writing to advocate for X. Join us to learn more about the issue and write a letter to your state legislator. We will guide you through the process and provide tips to empower you to lead a similar session for your own chapter.
About the event:
- Join us for a chance to de-stress in the middle of the semester! In this workshop, we will be offering relaxation activities to give a boost to our mental health, and we will be learning about what we can do as a teacher to lower stress for ourselves and our students
