Professor Francis Hult addressed the United Nations on the occasion of International Mother Language Day, speaking about the value of mother tongue-based multilingual education and the power of multilingualism to foster sustainable development and global solidarity. The event was hosted by the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh to the United Nations together with UNESCO and the Permanent Missions of El Salvador, Nigeria, Portugal, and Slovakia.
