    <div class="html-content">Hey guys! My name is Cazzy, and I'm the new Social Media Intern for the Alex Brown Center for Entrepreneurship. I'll be the one writing posts and sending out emails letting you all know about our upcoming workshops, speakers, and other events. I'll also be representing ABCE at those in-person events, so if you see me in person, please come up and say hi! <div><br></div>
    <div>A bit about myself-- I'm a senior, graduating this May. I'm a double major in English &amp; Media and Communications Studies, so writing is my jam. I'm big on sustainability (talk to me about fast fashion!) and preserving the outdoors. I also love to rock climb, and am an officer of UMBC's Rock Climbing Club. In addition to my work with ABCE, I work as an office assistant for the Interdisciplinary Studies program and am a LRC-certified writing tutor.</div>

    <div>If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about what I'm doing here, please don't hesitate to comment here or email me privately at <a href="mailto:cmedley1@umbc.edu">cmedley1@umbc.edu</a>. I'd love to hear what you have to say!</div>

  <Title>It&#8217;s Just F(ric)king Design Today!</Title>
  <Tagline>Joseph Carter-Brown is Today--Mon OCT 16 12-1 pm, UC 310</Tagline>

    <span>Continuing our Fall Speaker Series events, we are excited to have Joseph Carter-Brown join us today--Monday, October 16 from 12 to 1 pm in University Center room 310--to talk about his journey joining concepts of design and entrepreneurship, and why it's necessary to be attuned to it all. </span><span>If you're a design oriented individual looking for a little inspiration on how to hone your business side to be a better entrepreneur, this talk will be perfect for you. We can't wait to see you there! </span>
    </div>
    <span><div><br></div>Design is a broad specification with many disciplines, and naturally, with such an expansive set of tools, practices and thought processes, it can feel seemingly impossible to define. As a result, some have sought to create tightly controlled representations of what design actually is. However, this line of thinking can be to our detriment in the ever evolving design landscape; leaving design out of some rather important and influential conversations, when it could (should) have a bigger role in general. Why? Because design plays a role in pretty much everything we do. </span><div><br></div>
    <div>In this talk Joe will discuss the importance of designers embracing their role as empathy dealers, and the core areas in which designers need to engage, be it as sales people, business leaders, or technologists...because in the end, it’s all just “fricking design”.</div>
