Tomorrow we will be holding our first DevSpace of the semester! Every Friday (unless otherwise told), we will be holding a space for everyone to work on their ventures and network with each other. Whether you have an established startup, an idea you would like to bring to life, or no clue what you want to do, everyone and anyone is encouraged to come!

Lastly, the students that attended the meeting today, and every entrepreneur that couldn't attend but keeps up with myUMBC, thank you. UMBC Entrepreneurs is only as strong as its members, as is the case with most student organizations but especially regarding entrepreneurship. 

Growing up I wanted nothing more than to immerse myself in entrepreneurship; podcasts, videos, courses, teams, meetings, entrepreneurial festivals, etc, as is the case with most young ambitious entrepreneurs. There was nothing of this sort growing up, but with the help of the Executive Board and each of you, we can create this reality for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Today, we saw a room full of ambitious, hungry and like-minded students. Believe it or not, we as a collective group make up the innovators, dreamers and doers on campus. We are the students that are willing to take risks for our dreams and ambitions, and for that we need to support each other thoroughly and create a culture that welcomes all inquisitive minds.

As a rule under the current Executive leadership, we welcome all students regardless of experience, whether you live and bleed entrepreneurship or are only slightly curious. If you are willing to hustle, we want you in this club.

We encourage members to reach out to fellow members that complement your weaknesses, to double down on your strengths and create high-caliber teams that won't fail.

We also hope that members reach out to friends and invite them to contribute to the Hustle culture and we can continue to grow and provide resources, support and mentors for each student.

As a rule of thumb, we encourage members to reach out to each other via email and Linked-In as peers, friends, mentors and possible professional co-founders. Having a long list of entrepreneurial contacts from college can go a long way in the future. Say hello to someone new and maybe you can help each other! 

We have two new student startups we'd like to highlight this week! 
  1. A startup dedicated to people who like to dress well on a budget. Senior Karl Ominiabohs is looking to sell fashionable new/slightly used clothing for people who like to dress on a budget. Interested students email ka16@umbc.edu.
  2. A startup using machine learning to create a software that helps play fighting games. Junior Christopher Dunstan is looking for anyone interested in fighting games to join! Interested students email cdun2@umbc.edu.
Be sure to congratulate Karl and Christopher on their ambitions and we hope interested members apart of our network can be in contact soon.

We wish everyone luck on their finals as the semester comes to a conclusion. However, entrepreneurship doesn't have to end when the semester does. UMBC Entrepreneurs can only be as dynamic as its members so we encourage all members to tell friends and peers about us so that hustle culture can take UMBC by storm.

Entrepreneurs at UMBC invites all students and majors to contribute to the entrepreneurial presence around campus this summer.

Do you have an idea that you want to bring to life? Do you want to create your own company or join a student-led one around campus?

Turn your ideas into real student-led ventures! UMBC Entrepreneurs is a student organization dedicated to creating an ecosystem of collaboration and entrepreneurial ventures. Students will have the opportunity to do everything entrepreneurial in a relaxed environment; meet other ambitious and like-minded students, create real products and services and earn money, or network with mentors and investors. Surround yourself with students that support your goals and ambitions.

This summer, students can participate through the following:
