Two - Part Virtual Conflict Resolution Workshop for Chairs and Directors w/ Sally Klingel
Participants will work on their own individual conflict situations prior to the first session and between training days; and instruction will incorporate anonymous versions of participant conflicts.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the roles academic leaders can play in conflict situations and how to appropriately match your conflict role to the situation
- Practice questioning and feedback techniques to de-escalate conflicts and work toward acceptable working relationship agreement
- Be able to plan for challenging conversations and anticipate reactions
Session materials will be emailed the week of 10/26/2020.
We ask participants to attend both sessions and fill out a portion of the conflict diagnostic tool in advance of the first session on Mon November 2, 2020.
Part I (2.5 Hours)
Monday, November 2, 9:30am-12:00pm or 1:30pm-4:00pm (same session two different time options)
Part II (1.5 Hours)
Monday, November 12, 9:00am-10:30am or 3:00pm-4:30pm
