This is a reminder that the 2025-2026 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is currently available! If you are considering applying for financial aid at UMBC during the 2025-2026 academic year and have not yet filled out your FAFSA, we recommend you do so by the encouraged deadline of March 1st, 2025. Be sure to include the UMBC school code 002105.
The FAFSA application and information on all Federal Aid programs can be found at studentaid.gov.
If you are a Maryland resident and interested in applying for state aid, submitting the application to UMBC by March 1st will allow the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to review you for state aid eligibility. You can find more information about MHEC awards and how to qualify at mhec.maryland.gov.
