          week’s climate teach-ins! Several professors in our department will be holding
          specialized talks about climate change. From local climate change adaptations
          to critiques of global policies, we’ll be covering a broad range of topics.
          Some events will be streamed on Webex, while others are limited to in-person
          attendance (first come first serve!). These teach-ins will be the first of many

    <Title>Celebrating Today's Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony!</Title>

          <div class="html-content"><p><span>Another exciting morning at UMBC! At today’s
          undergraduate commencement, twenty-five GES majors donned their caps and gowns
          and walked on stage to receive their degrees. Our first photo features, from
          left to right: Amal Hussain, Thirandie Bambaradeniya, Aaron Chin, Sarah
          Johnson, and Langston Smith. The second photo includes the same students along
          with Dr.’s Andy Miller, Maggie Holland, and Alan Yeakley. </span></p>
          
          <p><span>We’re fortunate for their hard work, their aptitude,
          and for the support they have provided to other GES students in their studies. (That
          upperclassmen wisdom goes a long way!) This is only the beginning for these
          twenty-five bright and promising futures.           Problem", Dr. Ellis discusses the upcoming 28th annual Conference of the
          Parties (COP-28) to be held in the UAE, and he shares his advice on what
          meaningful climate progress should look like coming from global elites. </p>

When they're not in the air, our Sondheim basement is brimming with balloons, so if you're in the area, stop on by! We're so excited to follow the hard work of our students as they wrap-up their first class in GIS!</span><br><br><span>On another note, it's been awhile!
