2018 Grand Challenge Symposium
Monday, April 2, 2018 · 6 - 8 PM
The Grand Challenge Scholars Program will be hosting a Grand Challenge Symposium on April 2, 2018, from 6-8 p.m. in the University Center Room 310. The symposium will feature 5 UMBC faculty members who will give 5-minute "mini-talks" about the 5 Grand Challenges program areas: Research, Entrepreneurship, Interdisciplinarity, Global Perspectives, and Service Learning. The event will also showcase some of the work of the current Grand Challenge Scholars, including posters on each of the 14 Grand Challenges.
Students who are interested in applying to the Grand Challenge Scholars Program are especially encouraged to attend, as are faculty and staff who have an interest in any of the Grand Challenges or would simply like to learn more about the program. More information about the program is available at http://gcsp.umbc.edu , and applications will be due on April 15.
