  <Title>Election to Fill the Position of Secretary of the Graduate Student Association</Title>
  <Tagline>Are you detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to serve?</Tagline>

    <div class="html-content">Please consider nominating yourself for the position of Secretary of the Graduate Student Association! As a member of the GSA Executive Council, you would be in a position of service and support to the GSA. If you are elected, you will be in training/shadowing the current Secretary in November and will be in the role from 1 Dec 2024 through 30 June 2025. You must be able to participate in online meetings every Monday from 12:30-2 PM and, once a month, Tuesday and Friday from 8-9 AM. As part of this job, you will be responsible for counting votes and keeping minutes during meetings according to the GSA Bylaws and Robert's Rules of Order, updating GSA governing documentation and the GSA website as needed, working with GSA historical records, collaborating with other members of the GSA Executive Council, chairing the Strategic Planning Committee, attending important GSA events, and other duties as required. You should be prepared for a commitment of an average of 10 hours per week. You would receive a stipend of $6183.33 in total for your 7 months in the role.<br><br>To nominate yourself, please submit your name, student ID number, photograph/headshot, brief biography (50-100 words), and statement as to your qualifications and interest in the role (100-300 words), by 17 Oct 2024. If you are qualified according to the Graduate School, you should participate in the election, which will take place during the GSA Senate meeting on 22 Oct 2024 at 8 AM (online).
