Computer Scientist Dr. Manuel A. Pérez-Quiñones will be visiting UMBC on April 14 and 15. He will be giving a research talk in the Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering and a talk on diversity for the campus.
Dr. Pérez-Quiñones' talk on diversity and inclusion is scheduled for the morning of Friday, April 15. http://perez.cs.vt.edu/diversity-readings
Dr. Pérez-Quiñones is a tenured professor of Computer Science, Director of Virginia Tech's Office of Recruitment and Diversity Initiatives, and the Chair of the national Coalition to Diversity Computing. http://www.cdc-computing.org/about/
A lunch reception for students will follow Dr. Pérez-Quiñones' talk. Location TBA.
