The Greater Washington Partnership (GWP) spans the region from Richmond to Baltimore and includes all the large employers in the region.
These employers are working with their university partners, which UMBC is one, to make certain that all new employees they hire out of college have a basic proficiency in digital skills. Information can be found here.
For UMBC students to be eligible they must have taken one course in statistics and one course in programming that include one of the following:
Statistics
- Statistics 350, Statistics 351, or Statistics 355
Programming
- CMSC 101, IS 147 Introduction to Computer Programming, CMSC 201, CMSC 104
If you have passed these courses and have a 3.0 GPA, or permission of the instructor, you are eligible to take an independent study course that will complete the remaining requirements.
