The University will be closed on Monday, July 3, 2017. This is an additional day of closure for the Independence Day holiday. July 3, 2017, will be observed as an University Holiday (HOL), and not administrative leave, for leave eligible employees. Please share the information below with the employees in your department.
TIMEKEEPING:
These timekeeping guidelines do not apply to Contingent I, Student and Adjunct Faculty employees:
- The holiday (HOL) will automatically populate on the electronic time sheet for pay period 2018-01.
- Employees who were originally scheduled off on July 3rd will observe the day as an University Holiday and not use their accrued leave for the day.
- Employees who will be required to work on July 3rd will record time in/time out (nonexempt) OR duty day (faculty and exempt) for the day. The appropriate holiday hours will be processed and reflected in the holiday leave balance as banked hours to use at a later time.
PAYROLL:
- Time entry for PR01 will close at 10:00 a.m. on July 5th.
- Primary payroll preparers and approvers must coordinate with the alternate preparer and approver to ensure appropriate coverage for time entry and related duties during this modified schedule if the primary will not be available.
- Final date for submission of paperwork for Payroll 2 is June 30th. There will be no exceptions to this deadline due to the high volumes and holiday schedule.
- A modified payroll calendar for July is attached for your review. Please note the yellow highlighted areas.
