Several employees have contacted Human Resources stating that they have received email communications that appear suspicious. There are several phishing emails going around that are targeting employees stating UMBC HR is contacting them about Payroll. Please delete these emails.
The 2 modes of communication that Human Resources uses to email the campus community are automatic messages generated from PeopleSoft (relating to time sheets, time entry, etc.) and myUMBC group posts. Please ignore posts that are not from these 2 sources. You can determine if a myUMBC group email is authentic by going to the group directly through myUMBC. If you see the post there, it was sent by Human Resources.
