As a reminder to all leave eligible employees, a maximum of 50 days of annual leave (see page 27 and 28 of Employee Handbook) may be carried into a new calendar year. Even though many of us are currently working remotely, the University continues to encourage employees to consider planning for and using leave time. While we may have had travel plans cancelled, research shows that taking time away from the job can have both physical and psychological health benefits. People who take time off have lower stress, less risk of heart disease, a better outlook on life, and more motivation to achieve goals. Consider planning for time away from your home work space - leave the computer off, take a day (or two) away from email, and enjoy the down time to recharge and come back to work reenergized and refreshed!
