We are pleased to announce, Open Enrollment rates for the 2021 plan year and the Annual Benefits Guide have been posted on the HR Website. In addition, please see the Open Enrollment Virtual Resource page for plan resources. Additional videos and resources will be added as they become available from the State of Maryland.
Open Enrollment for State of Maryland benefits will be online in SPS Workday from October 19 through 5:00 p.m. on November 13, 2020. During this time, employees can enroll in and/or make changes to their health benefits effective January 1, 2021. You will receive alerts during Open Enrollment from the State of Maryland via the SPS Workday system (stateofmaryland@myworkday.com).
Using SPS Workday during Open enrollment
- Visit the SPS Workday Open Enrollment Page for detailed instructions.
- Please notice, the SPS Workday link has changed! The State of Maryland announced a new login process on September 10 through OneLogin.
- You will need to use the temporary password using the instructions in the Quick Reference Guide. You will be prompted to create a new password.
- The multi-factor OneLogin process requires a second authentication such as a cell phone number, app, or email. Please see the Quick Reference Guide and OneLogin Tips for details.
Finally, to ensure timely receipt of carrier communications, including membership cards, we encourage employees to login to their myUMBC Profile to ensure your home address is current (under About, select View More). Address changes can be made in the Payroll Online Service Center (POSC).
