What is your experience dating someone from another country?

Hello all international undergraduate students,
I am a graduate students doing a project for my class in Intercultural communication about intercultural dating in college ( undergraduate). I would like to hear about you personal ( and your partners) experience and how do you see dating? What does it mean to you and what difficulties have you experienced or what new things have you learned by dating someone from another country?
I would be really happy to hear from anyone who had experiences with intercultural dating. I am myself in an intercultural relationship and I am happy to share my experiences too. I also hope that this exchange might also help us improve our intercultural communication/ relationship skills.
