It is my pleasure to invite you to participate in UMBC’s Spring 2017 Commencement Ceremonies on Wednesday, May 24 and Thursday, May 25.
An important part of the ceremony is the participation in the Commencement Procession by members of our faculty and staff. This year, I encourage you to consider attending the commencement ceremonies and join us in the celebration of our graduating students by marching in UMBC's spring graduate and undergraduate commencement processions.
If you are interested in participating in the commencement procession, please take a moment to RSVP through our Online Commencement Form. As in the past, UMBC will subsidize the rental of academic regalia for faculty and staff. Note: any orders made between now and the end of the day Thursday, May 4 will require payment of $25 to cover expedited shipping fees. The last day to order regalia is May 4.
Even if you do not order regalia we need to know whether you intend to march in the Commencement procession so that appropriate seating arrangements can be made. If you plan to participate in the procession, please RSVP using our online form by Monday, May 8, 2017.
