Dear Members of the UMBC Community,
The UMBC community was deeply saddened this morning to hear of the sudden passing of Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. We extend heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues at this difficult time.
County Executive Kamenetz made significant contributions to our region and the state during his long public service career. We are grateful for his commitment to supporting UMBC.
Condolences may be sent to the Historic Courthouse, 400 Washington Avenue, Towson, Maryland, 21204.
The county executive was scheduled to appear tonight at a gubernatorial candidate forum organized by the UMBC College Democrats, a student organization. That event will be rescheduled. Instead, the group will gather for a moment of reflection on County Executive Kamenetz’s public service career at 7 p.m. in UMBC’s University Center Ballroom. They have invited the campus community to attend as well.
