Dear Members of the UMBC Community,
We invite you to attend the Presidential Faculty and Staff Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, April 3, in the University Center Ballroom. Please join us in celebrating the accomplishments of this year's campus- and system-wide award recipients. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with lunch provided. The program will begin at 12 p.m.
During the ceremony we will honor our faculty and staff colleagues, each of whom was selected by a committee of peers. To see the full list of faculty and staff award recipients, please visit our Presidential Faculty and Staff Awards website. The program will also include a mid-year State of the University update.
This special event also marks the launch of a new University logo and messaging you can use to tell your UMBC stories. Come join us, and leave with a new UMBC logo pin to wear proudly.
Release time will be granted for employees to take part in this event, and everyone is encouraged to attend. All campus offices will remain open, and services should continue to be offered. Supervisors and staff are asked to work together to coordinate staffing.
Again, we hope you will be able to join us for this year's ceremony. We look forward to seeing you.
President Freeman Hrabowski and Provost Philip Rous
