Ribbon-cutting ceremony with Governor Larry Hogan, Maryland Speaker of the House Adrienne Jones ’76, Maryland Senate President Thomas V. Miller Jr., and President Freeman Hrabowski.
Hands-on life science activities for all ages, active learning demonstrations, and tours highlighting exciting building features.
INFLIGHT, a vivid art installation inspired by UMBC research and supported by the Maryland State Arts Council’s Public Art Initiative. The artist, Volkan Alkanoglu, will be available for questions.
GRIT-X, a series of short talks presented by faculty, staff, and alumni on topics from sustainable fishing to artificial intelligence to the importance of diversity in research.
The ILSB is a hub for interdisciplinary research and collaboration, and active learning classrooms and teaching laboratories create new opportunities for engaged learning. Its construction significantly increases our capacity for classes and research, rising to meet the demands of a thriving university.
