Please Save the Date to cheer for our graduating Retrievers! UMBC will be hosting online Class of 2020 celebrations on Wednesday, May 20, for graduate students and Thursday, May 21, for undergraduate students. Both events will take place at 10 a.m. More details will be available soon on our commencement website.
Hosted by President Hrabowski and campus leaders, these events will include speaker remarks, campus photos, and individual slides recognizing each graduate. We’ve asked graduates to send us personalized photographs showing off their Retriever pride for their slides, which will also feature the graduates’ majors and honors. The slides and the celebration will be made available on social media and can be downloaded to share. In addition to these celebrations, we continue to work on a plan to invite May graduates to participate in our December 2020 commencement ceremonies, should it be safe to do so.

We need your help recreating the spirit we have at our in-person ceremonies, and hope that UMBC community members will organize virtual watch parties and share their appreciation and admiration for the Class of 2020 on social media.
