Should it become likely the University will be adversely affected by the storm, the UMBC Police will follow the Emergency Operations Plan and will work in conjunction with other university departments to mitigate any effects of the storm. Whether you are on campus or at home, you should:
- Have a plan;
- Move cars to higher ground and away from trees;
- Fill your gas tank and charge electronic devices;
- Prep an emergency kit (https://www.ready.gov/kit); and

The current forecast has the storm affecting campus mainly from late afternoon Tuesday into Wednesday morning. Please avoid driving during these hours. The current risk to our area is mainly from flash floods since we could see up to eight inches of rain in certain areas.
