Dear Colleagues,
We need your help to recognize and honor the exemplary work of our talented and dedicated Exempt and Non-Exempt staff working to support our mission. As our University community has come together to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, staff members have been essential in transitioning our faculty, staff, and students to the new realities of online learning and telework and working to ensure health and safety on our campus.
We encourage administrators, faculty, and staff who are familiar with the outstanding contributions of our staff during this unprecedented time to nominate them for one of these prestigious awards:
- UMBC Presidential Distinguished Staff Awards
- University System of Maryland Board of Regents Staff Awards
- Jakubik Family Endowment Staff Award
- Karen L. Wensch Endowment Award for Outstanding Non-Exempt Staff
Descriptions of the individual awards and the eligibility requirements for each, as well as the nomination form can be found at https://provost.umbc.edu/staffawards/. Each nomination should include the nomination form, a single letter of recommendation, and the nominee’s resume or job history form.
Deadline for Nominations has been extended to 12 noon, November 4th. Please send your nominations to Colleen Rebeiro in the Office of the Provost at: colleenr@umbc.edu.
