In order to continue as a club at UMBC, we need to elect officers for the following school year. I hope we have people who would like to run for positions.
The officer positions are as follows, along with the general tasks performed by the officer:
President:
-Manage public relations
-develop and manage projects
-serve as the organizations official representative for communicating with SGA and UMBC Staff
Vice President:
-Manage member recruitment/retention
-manage communication within the group
-manage public relations
-assume the role of President in the event of the presidents absence or incapacity
Treasurer:
-manage fundraising
-manage the organizations funds and ensuring compliance with all financial rules and guidelines
Terms for newly elected officers begin on May 1st.
Due to the limited contact, and no official meetings taking place right now, elections will be held online. I have included a template for anyone who wants to run for a position. You must be an approved member to run for a position. Please keep it to 1 slide, you may edit/design it in any way you want, as long as the information is readable. You may run for more than one position.
Candidates will be accepted from April 9th-April 24th. To run for a poisiton, please send a powerpoint or google slides document to umbc.jujitsu@gmail.com.
On April 24th, all the PowerPoint slides will be merged into a single presentation and distributed to all members who are eligible to vote. Voting will be a through a google form from April 25th-30th. Voting will use Ranked Choice Voting, in order to determine the best candidate. On May 1st, the new officers will be notified of their positions.
